THE TANGO CLUB NIGHT Vol.2
Tango is not just any dancing style.
Tango is something special.
Tango is pure elegance and passion.
This is also true for the electro tango style.
You can move to this music without completing a dozen dancing classes, due to the fact that electro tango combines the melancholic sounds with familiar modern dance sounds like house, reggae or trip hop.
The compilation „Tango Club Night, Vol. 01“ was a global success, that united the most important electro tango tunes.
From dreamy neo tango lounge tracks to pumping electro tango house tracks. Now, two years later, we bring you „Tango Club Night, Vol. 02“ with the same concept: on one disc are the dancefloor rockets, which can be found in the early morning hours in the hip afterhours club and on the lounge side you will find intensive electro tango tunes, with this cool passion, that suits elegant designer restaurants and cultivated hotel bars.
All big names of electro tango are on this double compilation:
Bajofondo, Otros Aires, Tanghetto, Daniel Melingo, Federico Aubele to Juan Carlos Caceres.
The Lola´s World label is proud that even the song „Asi se baila el tango“ by Bailongo! Is on this album. This song has attained cult status in the internet as the video has Antonio Banderas in it. Until now the song has only been on illegal bootlegs.
The cds were compiled by DJ ralph „von“ richthoven, who also was in charge for Volume 1. Especially the tango versions from Norway, Poland, italy and finnland won´t be found on usual tango compilations. The modern tango has already left the borders of its home country argentina.
NEW SOUL VOICES
Sure, Soul has always existed, since queen Aretha and King Marvin gave this genre their souls.
A lot that was running under “soul”, was synthetic r´n´b actually, until a few years ago a new generation of stunning soul voices entered the scene:
Joss Stone, John Legend and Amy Winehouse belong to them.
The big names of the soul newschool are well know, but the
NEW SOUL VOICES are about something else: this compilation by
DJ Jörg Gebauer from Bremen shows, how wide the spectrum of great soul voices is nowadays.
The USA (Sharon Jones, Raul Midon, Eli 'Paperboy' Reed) and also England (Beverley Knight) are mainly still the leaders of the soul revival.
The surprise is that almost half of the world is infected by the soul virus and that in france (Don Cavalli), in finnland (Nicole Willis),
in spain (Soul Vigilantes) and also in germany (Joy Delanane, Soulounge) great soul records are produced.
The soulists approach from different directions to the soul sound.
Jamie Lidell started with electronic music, K-OS came from the hip hop background and (Mick) Hucknall was successful with his band Simply Red in the pop circus.
The united soul voices present a wide range geographically as well as musically, from ballades to funky.
One thing unites all 18 tracks:
Experienced musicians accompany outstanding voices. Real music without studio rubbish that has its roots in stax- and motown.
Music that radiates what soul is about:
Soul.
