Samba and Bossa Nova are the only really typical Brazilian music for Europeans. All the others - from Baile Funk, Forro, Axe, Brazil Reggae, MPB, Choro, Brazil Drum N Bass, Lambada up to Heavy Metal made in Brazil - are hardly perceived. Around the turn of the millennium there was a real hype about Brazilectro (an updated Bossa Nova, as a combination of Trip Hop, Downbeat and Brazilian sounds). Unfortunately, this style also turned out as a sort of flash in the pan, because thereafter nothing new came from out of that corner.
The sampler „The Bossa Club Night, Vol. 02" tries to meet to the new situation and strictly presents the characteristics of Brazilian music as they are to be heard presently (2012) in all the trendy clubs in Europe.
This music however is produced to large parts not in Brazil, but in Europe and the USA. The majority of the Brazilian producers is not interested in how the native music is perceived on the other side of the Atlantic. They only work for their domestic market, which is more than large enough.
On the A-side of this compilation „The Bossa Club Night, Vol. 02" you find very catchy Brazil-House (Tech-House with Samba & Bossa Nova elements) and the still popular Brazil Drum N Bass.
Fifteen thrilling titles have been selected, at every Brazilian party the DJ can scroll through the CD with the guarantee of a full dance floor.
The double sampler „The Bossa Club Night, Vol. 02" was compiled, like the predecessors, by the Bremen DJ Ralph „von" Richthoven, music editor at the radio station Funkhaus Europa.
